Terri Fisher, PhD Candidate, LMFT
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Hi- my name is Terri Fisher
I have a B.S. degree in Family Relations, an M.S. in Marriage and Family Therapy, Certification in EAGALA (Equine Assisted Growth and Learning), and I am nearly finished with a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision. I am a licensed LMFT in Texas and Idaho. And I have over 35 years of experience working with adults and children in a variety of professional settings. However my setting - before getting on the highway of credentialed and professional counseling and therapy - looked quite a bit different than being in an office.
I lived a very different life. I was a Sheriff Deputy for Fremont County , Idaho, an Ordinance Officer for Rexburg, Idaho, and a Women's Personal Safety Instructor. This part of my career path was very connected with helping people and animals. I rescued dogs and cats and horses and even a moose! I taught classes on safety and protection and critical thinking in order to help empower people on how to stay safe (or get safe) and not be a victim. And, along the way I rescued myself and found my own personal power. But one thing has stayed the same throughout: I have always been drawn to helping people and I bring all these parts forward as a therapist!
I work with a multitude of issues with all people here are a few:

I am a therapist and a teacher of therapeutic help. I not only strive to create a safe place for us to explore and hopefully heal and make the changes to create the direction you want to go, I also teach. I teach for now, to help while we are together, and I teach for later - when you have saddled up and gone on down the road!
When I'm not in the office I am likely in the paddock or round pen or pasture (mending a fence or mending a heart). I'm still drawn to the animals in my life. Specifically, I love working with horses and people -- converging the wholenss of my life experience. I look forward to helping you on your convergence and being with you on your journey.
Warmly,
Terri Fisher
