Hello, my name is Shantik Cole. I work out of our Virtual Branch – Strictly telehealth for anyone in Texas who wants counseling.

I’m here to help. I focus on creating a caring relationship with you, teaching healthy coping skills, and giving support for life’s obstacles. You are whole no matter what phase you are in.

My journey

Shantik’s path into counseling is grounded in her natural connection to people and her belief in creating a space where others feel comfortable being themselves.

Originally a “Jersey girl” who was Texas-raised, she brings both warmth and relatability into her work with clients. Shantik earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Texas Lutheran University in 2011, and went on to receive her Master of Science in Counseling and Development from Texas Woman’s University in 2015.

Her approach is shaped by a genuine love for connecting with others. She values meeting new people, sharing laughter, and creating an environment where clients feel at ease from the very beginning. Known for her open-mindedness, Shantik believes that therapy should be a place where you can show up exactly as you are—without pressure or pretense.

In her words:

I’ve never met a stranger—and I don’t plan to.

I believe you should be able to come as you are, so you can feel as comfortable as possible. From there, we can begin to figure things out together.

My approach to counseling is centered on building a caring and supportive relationship where you can feel comfortable being yourself.

I focus on helping you develop healthy coping skills while also providing support as you navigate life's challenges. Together, we create a space where you can explore your experiences - whether related to trauma or current life circumstances - in a way that leads toward greater understanding and heling.

I draw from a variety of approaches, including Existential Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), integrating the in a way that bet fits your needs.
