Hi, I’m Megan. I work out of our Mansfield location and offer both in-person and telehealth sessions.
I’m passionate about walking alongside people as they explore their own path of self-discovery. Having done this work myself, I value creating a space where you can better understand your thoughts, feelings, beliefs, and behaviors—and begin making choices that feel more aligned with who you are and what you want for your life and relationships.
Megan’s path into counseling began with a deep desire to better understand herself and her family of origin. Through that process, she developed a growing appreciation for both the beauty and complexity of the human experience—an understanding that ultimately led her into the field of counseling.
She is originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where she completed her graduate training at Mount Mary University. She earned her Master of Science in Counseling as well as post-master’s training in Clinical Mental Health. Her time in training, along with the guidance of meaningful mentors, solidified her calling to work as a psychotherapist supporting individuals and couples.
In 2023, Megan relocated to North Texas, bringing her experience and perspective with her. While she misses parts of home—like Kopp’s custard, brats with cheese, and the Lake Michigan waterfront—she’s found a new appreciation for Texas “snow days” (and doesn’t miss shoveling a foot of snow to get to work).
In her words:
My journey into counseling really began with wanting to understand myself and where I come from. Along the way, I discovered just how layered and meaningful our experiences can be—and that’s what drew me into this work.
I truly enjoy working with individuals and couples, helping people make sense of their stories and feel more connected to themselves and each other.
I’m really glad to be here, and I look forward to the opportunity to be a part of your process.
My approach to counseling is individualized, compassionate, and grounded in a deep respect for your unique experiences.
I believe we are constantly evolving—shaped by our relationships, our histories, and the meaning we make of those experiences. Our work together centers on exploring patterns in thoughts, feelings, beliefs, and behaviors that may be influencing how you move through your life.
Together, we’ll look at how the past shows up in the present—sometimes creating familiar experiences or outcomes—and begin to understand the adaptations and responses that have developed along the way. Through this process, we can bring greater awareness to what’s happening and begin to relate to those patterns in a way that feels more aligned with who you are and what matters most to you.
I take a client-centered approach, often drawing from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)—always tailored to fit you and your goals.
I also believe in the power of the stories we carry about ourselves. Together, we can begin to re-author those stories in a way that reflects your values, strengths, and the life you want to move toward.
