My journey

Katherine’s path into counseling has been something that developed over time. Even early on, she found herself drawn to understanding people and supporting others through meaningful or difficult moments.

She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Texas Wesleyan University in 2020 and her Master’s in Counseling from Tarleton State University in 2023. One of her early roles in the field involved animal-assisted therapy, where she developed a strong appreciation for the experiential side of counseling.

In her words:

For me, becoming a counselor wasn’t a sudden decision—it’s something that had been quietly present for a long time. Even early on, I found myself drawn to understanding people and supporting others through difficult or meaningful moments.

My experience with animal-assisted therapy helped shape how I view the counseling process. It showed me that healing doesn’t only happen through conversation—it also happens through connection, presence, and lived experience.

Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to work with children, adolescents, adults, and families. I aim to bring a steady, empathetic, and open presence into my work, creating a space where you can feel comfortable, understood, and supported.

My approach

My approach is rooted in empowerment and self knoweldge. I focus on supporting you as you build confidence, gain clarity, and begin understanding the real you - finding yourself and making changes that might feel meaningful in your life.

Our work together is flexible and tailored to you. I integrate psychodynamic approaches, along with practical assists, like CBT and DBT with mindfulness, grounding, and somatic awareness—helping you connect insight with real, lived change.

When trauma is part of the picture, we move thoughtfully and at your pace—creating space to process, build stability, and gently shift patterns that may feel stuck or overwhelming.

My goal is to provide a space for growth and healing.  I look forward to meeting you.
