My journey

Jaree’s path into counseling has been shaped by both professional experience and personal understanding of the impact therapy can have during difficult seasons.

Having experienced counseling as both a therapist and a client, she understands firsthand how meaningful support can be—especially during times of crisis. This perspective continues to guide her work, creating a deep respect for each person’s process and the courage it takes to seek help.

Her educational journey includes studies at Baylor University, University of Texas at Austin, and Tarleton State University.

Jaree began her career in education as a general elementary and special education teacher before transitioning into the role of school counselor. During that time, she also began working in private practice. With over 15 years of experience as a Licensed Professional Counselor, she brings a depth of knowledge and a steady presence to the clients she serves.

In her words:

I’ve experienced the power of counseling in my own life, especially during times of crisis. I know how much of a difference it can make.

It’s a privilege to be able to walk alongside others—supporting them as they work toward their goals, their potential, and a life that feels more full and fulfilling.

My approach

My approach to counseling is collaborative, supportive, and grounded in both professional experience and personal understanding of the counseling process.

I believe that each person brings their own strengths, goals, and vision for their life. Together, we work to identify what may be getting in the way and develop practical tools and strategies to help you move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

I draw from a variety of approaches to meet your individual needs, focusing on building insight, strengthening coping skills, and supporting meaningful progress. My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered as you work toward a life that feels more full and fulfilling.
