Hi, I’m Amanda. I work out of our Old Town Burleson office.
I’m here to meet you wherever you are along your journey and to help you feel supported and uplifted throughout your therapy experience. I’m an empathetic listener who believes everyone has the capacity for positive change.
Amanda’s path into counseling has been shaped by a longstanding desire to help others and create meaningful support in people’s lives.
From an early age, she knew she wanted a career centered around helping people, and that calling naturally led her into the field of counseling. Since then, her work has continued to grow through a variety of experiences and settings.
She earned both her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Sam Houston State University. Her professional background includes working as a university mental health counselor, a school-based therapist for K–12 students, and a counselor supporting individuals impacted by domestic violence and sexual assault.
These experiences have shaped her ability to meet clients with empathy, understanding, and a steady presence—supporting individuals across different stages of life and a wide range of challenges.
In her words:
For as long as I can remember, I’ve wanted to help people in a meaningful way.
That desire led me to counseling, and I’ve never looked back. I feel grateful to be able to walk alongside others and offer support as they navigate their own experiences.
It's an honor to be a part of someone's process and support them along the way.
I believe you are the expert in your own experience. I'm here to support you and to help you reach in side yourself to find greater sources of strength than you even realized you possessed. I utilize a collaborative, holistic, trauma-responsive, strengths based approach. As your counselor, I will strive to supply you with the knowledge and skills to approach life with greater meaning and purpose.
I understand that life can feel daunting, full of uncertainty, or even out of control. Anxiety and depression can interfere with our ability to function, harm the quality of our relationships, and produce feelings of hopelessness or despair. I'm here to help you develop skills to better handle these challenges.
I look forward to working with you.
