Happiness... worth the pursuit?

Recently a client said that she was glad she started therapy. She said that she was happier than she had been in a long time. As we looked at each other, we both focused in on the word happiness. She said maybe happiness wasn't what she was looking for. We talked about the vagueness of happiness. Isn't it acceptance of ourselves -- both being who we want and wanting who we are that increases our feelings of happiness? At best happiness is elusive. But, certainly worth the pursuit.
