Scotty Gilmore, MS, LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor
Hi, my name is Scotty Gilmore. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a bachelor degree from California State University, Northridge in Sociology-Human Sexuality and a master degree in Professional Counseling from Amberton University. I have been in the helping profession for over a decade and feel honored that clients allow me to walk with them on their journey towards recovery and stability. I grew up and spent my first thirty years of life in Los Angeles and moved to Fort Worth ten years ago. Although not a Texas native, I am proud to call Texas home.
My main areas of focus include:
Mood Disorders (including Depression and Bipolar)
Addiction and Recovery
Sexuality, Sex Counseling and Sex Addictions
I practice an Integrative Existential approach with clients and incorporate Cognitive Based Therapy (CBT), Choice Theory, Solution Base Therapy and Mindfulness training. I believe that every client has an internal compass ready to help themselves find the answers they seek. I feel it a privilege to help clients get in touch with their own compass and I consider myself a fellow traveler. My clients find me pragmatic, compassionate and someone who really understands and “gets it.”
I look forward to meeting you where you are and helping you reach the goals of who you want to be.
