Mylie Greenbach, MS, LPC

Licensed Professional Counselor

Hi my name is Mylie Greenbach.

I received my Bachelor of Science in Counseling from Santa Clara University and my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Tarleton State University. I am currently enrolled in a doctorate counseling program at Texas A&M University - Commerce.

My credentials tell only part of the story of my journey.  And, while they may tell you that I am competent and have a strong

educational background, the most important thread of my story is my love for what I do.  I am a lifelong learner and I consider it a privilege to help people through therapy.

I maintain a non-judgmental environment of encouragement, compassion and understanding to help each of my clients build on their strengths and attain the growth and changes they want to achieve. I assist individuals, couples, and families to effectively resolve issues.  Working together we can find new perspectives and and gain new solutions.

My main areas of focus, experience, and passion include

  • Couples Counseling

  • Trauma Recovery

  • Individual work with

    • Anxiety

    • Depression

  • Substance Abuse / Misuse

  • Play Therapy for Children

I am humanistic and strength-based in orientation. My primary treatment modalities are always client centered, utilizing brief, behavioral, and cognitive techniques in therapy for adults, and adolescents, and play therapy for young children.   I am EMDR trained and I assist clients with trauma related issues such as emotional, physical, and sexual abuse.  When working with children I specialize in play therapy and I am a registered play therapist (RPT).   Additionally I am training in the Imago approach to couples counseling. I counsel couples seeking to enhance their relationship in areas such as communication, trust, conflict, emotional connectivity, and intimacy.

I look forward to working with you!

                                                        Until then....

Life doesn't always stay in the plan.
