Hi I am Monica! I work in the Virtual Branch of Hillside – offering virtual / tele-health sessions.
Life can feel overwhelming and difficult to navigate at times, but I believe each of us has strengths that can be strengthened and supported through therapy. I offer a compassionate, non-judgmental space where we can begin working through what you’re facing and move toward greater clarity, peace, and stability.
Monica’s path into counseling has been shaped by a deep commitment to helping others navigate difficult emotional experiences with care, compassion, and practical support.
She earned her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from William James College and brings a diverse range of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families.
Throughout her career, Monica has worked across multiple settings—including outpatient care, school-based therapy, crisis response, and community mental health. Her experience includes supporting individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, and crisis situations, as well as working closely with families to provide education, advocacy, and ongoing support.
She has also led trauma-informed group work with diverse populations, including refugee communities, and has experience providing culturally responsive care in both individual and group settings.
In her words:
I believe that even in the most overwhelming moments, there is a way forward.
My goal is to support you in navigating what you’re facing while helping you reconnect with your strengths and move toward a place of greater peace and stability.
I take a compassionate, non-judgmental, and collaborative approach to counseling, where building trust and rapport is central to the work we do together.
I use evidence-based therapies tailored to your unique needs, helping you process difficult emotional experiences while also developing practical coping strategies. My goal is to support you in managing symptoms, building resilience, and gaining a greater sense of control in your life.
I work with individuals, couples, and families navigating challenges such as ADHD, anxiety, trauma, depression, and relationship difficulties. Together, we will move at a pace that feels right for you—creating space for both understanding and meaningful progress.
Monica
