My journey

I have a Bachelor of Arts in Ministry, Hardin-Simmons University, Abilene, TX; a Master of Arts in Theology & Ministry, Brite Divinity School, Fort Worth, TX; and a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Southern New Hampshire University, Manchester, NH...

My journey has been varied for sure, but always rooted in helping others grow, heal, and thrive. I began as a videographer, capturing stories through a creative lens, then transitioned into education as a tutor, where I discovered a passion for one-on-one connection. As a youth ministries director and leader, I further developed my ability to support individuals through life’s challenges with empathy and insight.

Eventually, I channeled those experiences into becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor. While my background includes spiritual leadership, my counseling practice is grounded in evidence-based, client-centered approaches, offering a safe and inclusive space for people of all beliefs and backgrounds.

In fact, if there is carryover, one might say that one of my subspecialities is religious trauma.

My approach

I’m committed to helping clients reach their personal goals through a range of methods and modalities, each thoughtfully chosen to fit the individual’s unique challenges and personality. While every therapeutic journey is different, there are a few foundational elements that consistently support the process: developing coping and containment strategies, engaging in dynamic problem-solving, and always fostering radical empathy and self-compassion.

My approach is grounded in an Existential framework, which emphasizes how we make meaning of our lives in the face of difficulty and transition. How a person makes sense of their experiences can often shine a light through anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, and toward trauma recovery and growth.

I am client centered, first and foremost and I walk with my clients wherever they go, helping them build choices and know value while guiding them toward desired destinations and the next plateau.

Sometimes it takes a lot of exploring to identify our pathways - what brought us here and what's next.  You are worth it, now is the time.

I look forward to working with you.
