My journey

Originally, I went to college as a Kinesiology Major, with the goal to become an athletic trainer at the high school or collegiate level. Although I loved exploring the vast and ever-changing human body, it was through the soul and psyche instead of bandages and broken bones, that I found my passion.

I graduated with my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology in 2017. I later received my Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2020. I received both of my degrees from Tarleton State University, in Stephenville, Texas, otherwise known as the cowboy capital of the world.

I have experience working with people who have substance-misuse, legal consequences, domestic abuse, anxiety, depression, and other issues including borderline personality disorder. Always, I work with a trauma lens - knowing that we are all humans doing the best we can at our given moments.

If you show up at my door, I will try to help you!

My approach

I have several modalities and approaches in my back pocket. Existential, Reality Therapy, DBT, to name a few.

By using an existential approach to my work, I want clients to be able to step back, reflect and reward themselves for the obstacles they’ve overcome, even if it’s just getting out of bed. I try to help clients focus on what they can control in the moment by rediscovering their true selves.

Adding a touch of Reality Therapy can also help clients accept what they can’t control, despite how hard we may try. This allows for us to narrow down achievable and obtainable goals to work towards, together.

My mission is to help you feel confident and reassured that the baby steps you are taking now will lead to huge milestones in The Game of Life!
