Hi, I am Krystin Colgrove. I work out of the Old Town Burleson Location and do In-Person and Virtual Sessions as well.
I’m passionate about valuing clients as a WHOLE person and not a diagnosis. There’s just something fundamental about being accepted as who you are as a person. It’s usually our coping and adaptive ways that no longer serve us that really need a helping hand. I offer that space and assistance to help you take a moment to look and reflect while together we move forward.
Krystin approaches counseling as both a privilege and a deeply meaningful responsibility, valuing the trust that develops as clients begin to explore their experiences and seek direction.
She was raised in North Texas, where her desire to serve others began to take shape. Krystin earned her Bachelor of Arts in Religion from East Texas Baptist University in 2014. She went on to complete her Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling and Marriage & Family Therapy from Hardin-Simmons University, as well as a Master of Arts in Family Ministry from Logsdon Seminary in 2017.
Her educational and professional path reflects a strong foundation in both relational and clinical work, allowing her to thoughtfully support individuals, couples, and families as they navigate life’s complexities.
In her words:
Serving as a counselor is truly an honor for me. I value the opportunity to build trusting relationships with clients and walk alongside them as we process through life’s challenges together.
My heart for this work has been shaped over time—through my upbringing, my education, and my experiences—and I feel grateful to be able to support others as they seek clarity, direction, and a deeper understanding of themselves and their relationships.
My approach to counseling is relational, supportive, and centered on creating a space where you feel safe to be fully yourself.
I have experience working with a wide range of clients, including children, adolescents, adults, parents, and families. Whether you’re navigating individual challenges or relational dynamics, my goal is to walk alongside you as we process what you’re experiencing and begin to build skills that support both personal well-being and healthy relationships.
I draw from a variety of approaches—including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and mindfulness-based techniques—while also incorporating experiential work such as sand tray when it feels helpful. Each session is tailored to you, with a focus on developing practical tools, increasing awareness, and creating space for meaningful growth.
Above all, I aim to provide a steady, compassionate environment where you can feel supported, understood, and empowered throughout your counseling experience.
I look forward to working with you and being a part of your process.
